You can add New York Islanders' general manager Garth Snow to the Tampa Bay Rays bandwagon. On Thursday, after signing a couple of cards for me, the former goalie noticed the Rays hat I was wearing.
"Good luck to you and the Rays tonight," he said.
Too bad, though, that a 7-0 lead wasn't enough for the Rays to win the American League pennant and make their first trip to the World Series. We'll have to wait until Saturday night for that.
Besides, it'll be much more enjoyable for the Rays to win at the Trop.

Ron -- What would Pudge Fisk say if he knew you were a Rays rooter?
I don't believe Red Sox Nation is missing me too much.
Besides, it's so much fun rooting against the Red Sox.
After the way the Sox whined after the ALCS last year (Varitek's comments about every call going against them, JD Drew being upset he had to play another week, etc.), I hope they fall apart for the full 9 innings (instead of only 7) in Game 6.
I hope they last about four innings tonight.
And the only reason there's a "Red Sox Nation" is that a lazy columnist stole the phrase from the Oakland Raiders. Good luck Rays!
It's my guess that the lazy columnist works for the Globe, not my beloved Herald.
